Framing Employee Attitudes and Digital Work Behaviors to Support Data-Driven Human Resource Management

Interdisciplinary Fondo Ateneo per la Ricerca (FAR) Project
2018-2020
As processes and organizations become increasingly digitalized, work behaviors produce an asset of digital traces that provides unprecedented information to HRM. While traditional surveys are expensive and “picture-like”, digital data flows are cheap and provide “movie-like” representations. This project aims at exploring the potential of data flows generated by employees on companies’ digital platforms for the innovation of people management towards analytics-based HRM.

AMBIT

Fondazione CRM co-funded Project
2014-2016

The AMBIT (Algorithms and Models for Building context-dependent Information delivery Tools) project aims to study and develop a prototype software architecture for the development of context-dependent applications and systems, i.e., tools that provide users with services that are customized according to the context in which they operate. The project also has important application outcomes, both for the operational partners and for the companies and organizations in the area. From this point of view, some application areas appear to be particularly suitable for the adoption of such a notion of context: among these, online advertising, interactive applications for the development of the Modena area, smart help-desk systems.

PEGASUS

Pegasus

Industria 2015 Project
2009-2012

The aim of the PEGASUS (mobility management project through infotelematics systems for urban areas, passengers vehicles and goods safety) is to carry out an integrated infotelematics platform acting as enabler of a systemic approach to sustainable and safe management of people, vehicles and goods’ flows within urban areas. In particular, the platform will be based on the collection and real-time processing of data arising from vehicles, infrastructure and their interactions and will exploit them in view of improving mobility management in urban and sub-urban areas.

FACIT

Facit SME

European FP-7 Funded Project
2009-2012

The FACIT SME project addresses SMEs operating in the ICT domain. The goals are: to facilitate the use of Software Engineering (SE) methods and to systematize their application integrated with the business processes; to provide efficient and affordable certification of these processes according to internationally accepted standards; to securely share best practices, tools and experiences with development partners and customers.

project

Outdoor Video Protection: innovative vision and information technologies for safe outdoors work environments

Regional Project
2009-2010

The main purpose of the project is the monitoring of wide open spaces, with particular reference to hazardous workplaces such as construction sites, in order to detect intruders or situations that are not up to standard. These environments are very complex to control, usually spread over very large areas whose access points are most often unknown and not monitored. The solution proposed in the project plans to overcome these limitations by resorting to the use of multimodal sensor fusion, by jointly using cameras and RFID technologies.

project

Semantic Self-organizing Mobile Networks of Radio Sensors

DII Department Project
2007-2009

The research focuses on sensor networks in all ICT disciplines, with the aim of integrating aspects related to technology and microelectronic systems, design of interconnection systems via ad hoc radio communication, organization of digital information and the formulation and efficient execution of queries based on semantics. In particular, research in computer science is concerned with providing connection capacity, self-organization, and suitable algorithms to retrieve and manage information in a distributed mobile environment.

nep4b
